Pretty Petal Studio - Whichgoose Session Spring Line

I'm so excited to share another Whichgoose session!  Whichgoose is a lovely Etsy shop that sells beautiful floral crowns and other pretty accessories.  

For Emily's spring line, we decided to use Sugarloaf Mountain as our backdrop.  The tricky thing about photographing "spring" in the winter is well, 30 degree weather with some wind tossed in!  Brrrrrrr.  My assistant, Lalania, and I were nicely bundled up, but Kate and Emily were freezing...as you can witness in this last black and white photo above!  Goosebumps!  But boy did they work it and except for a few goosebumps, it looks like a lovely warm day in the woods.

I also realized that I never blogged Whichgoose's autumn session, so I'm going to add some of those images to the blog later this week.  I have the best time with these girls.  Beauty and creativity abounds!

Frederick MD Photographer - An Engagement Session in the Woods

There's nothing like an engagement session in the woods...winter woods.  Bare trees allowing afternoon light to trickle through.  It was a pleasure photographing A&J.  Talk about a beautiful couple.  I'm so excited for their wedding this summer!

Pretty Petal Studio 2013 Spring Mini Session - Frederick MD Photographer

It's that time again...spring is right around the corner and with that, the announcement of my Spring Mini Session dates!

Mini sessions are an affordable way to capture professional photos of you and your family in a beautiful outdoor location in Frederick MD.  Each session is 30 minutes and you will receive 10 high-res digital files to use as you wish...print them, make cards, calendars, scrapbook, create a canvas...the possibilities are endless.

Most of the time my sessions fill up with children and families, but a mini session is also great for friends, generation photos, siblings, or just you!

"My Wonderful Walls" Giveaway!

Pretty Petal Studio - A Giveaway!

I'm so excited about this month's giveaway!  Usually it's a fine art print from my Etsy shop, but this time it's a signed absract Peacock photo from moi, showcased on a Gatski Metal sculpture!

Gatski Metal uses reclaimed farm machinery and barn wood to create sculpture and furniture.  I picked up this little blue metal "frame" from a boutique called The Muse in downtown Frederick and thought that it would make a lovely gift.  It comes with two magnets to hold the photo in place.

Frederick Maryland Wedding Photographer - Cacapon State Park

The beautiful setting for the intimate wedding of Samantha and Josh was at Cacapon Resort Park in Berkeley Springs, WV.  It was my first time photographing a wedding there and it took my breath away.  October weddings are always magical.  It's still warm, the light is golden and the colors are dreamy.

There were many moments during this wedding where I was laughing so hard that I was crying or because of the moments that make one weep because of sentiments and tenderness.  Josh and Sam are an amazing couple and I wish them a lifetime of love and laughter!
